Summer trainees
Futurice usually has summer trainee positions open for applications at the beginning of each year. Keep an eye on our career page for updates!
Summer traineeships typically consist of project work either in one of our external client projects or in an internal development project – or perhaps a bit of both. Location can be either Tampere or Helsinki and trainees get to work full-time. Trainees work alongside an experienced cross-disciplinary team to learn the craft of modern tech and data consulting.
On top of learning and interesting projects, summer trainees get to network with our active international Slack community, participate in Futurice events, and enjoy a wide list of Futurice provided benefits. If the trainees are up for it, there might be a possibility to continue their Futurice journey after summer.

Q: Can I work part-time or is this only a full-time position?
To maximize the learning journey at Futurice we offer only full-time positions during the summer.
Q: What happens after the Summer trainee period?
There is a chance to continue your Futurice journey after the summer trainee period.
Q: How long will the Summer Trainee period last? And when can I start?
The common Summer Trainee period runs from the beginning of May until the end of August. However, depending on the individual needs there might be flexibility with the start and end date.
Q: Is there a remote work option?
Office location is in Tampere or Helsinki. We have a hybrid working mode depending on the team, so occasional work from home might be possible. We don’t offer relocation or remote work opportunities outside Finland.
Q: Do I have to send a transcript of my studies? Is it mandatory?
Transcript is not mandatory. We give you the option to send a transcript of your studies if you feel that it gives relevant additional information about your skill set that you can’t otherwise provide. As we welcome people with different backgrounds to apply to our summer trainee program, consider your own situation. The minimum application document requirements are CV, cover letter and study/hobby project.
