Software Developer, Summer Trainee (Based in Finland, Working with UK Team) - Helsinki

Are you ready to kick-start your career as a Software Developer? This summer, join Futurice and work on exciting digital products with our UK team. You'll gain hands-on experience working with teams to build digital products and services that drive transformation – all while collaborating in an international environment.

While you'll be based in our Tampere or Helsinki office, your work will be deeply rooted in our UK projects, with a fully remote UK team. We're committed to fostering strong connections, which is why you'll have a monthly trip to London to collaborate face-to-face with your team.

About the role

As a Junior Software Developer, you'll work on real projects – either with external clients or on internal development initiatives, or possibly both! You'll collaborate with an experienced, cross-disciplinary team, learning the craft of modern software consulting in a hands-on environment.

What you should be familiar with

• React & React Native
• TypeScript
• Node.js
• Kubernetes & Docker
• Azure / AWS (considered a plus)

Compensation & Benefits

We follow an open salary policy, with monthly compensation between 2580–3190€, plus potential bonuses and additional benefits. Our salary model is based on skills, responsibilities, and impact.

❓ Can I work part-time, or is this a full-time position?🔹 This is a full-time summer trainee position to ensure you get the most out of the experience.

❓ What happens after the Summer Trainee period?🔹 There may be opportunities to continue part-time after summer.

❓ When does the Summer Trainee period start and end?🔹 The period runs from May to August (5.5.–31.8.2025), with some flexibility with the dates.

❓ Is remote work possible?🔹 Work is based in Tampere or Helsinki, with a hybrid model depending on your team. This role is working with the UK team and offers the opportunity to travel to London.
