What’s even harder? Doing it year after year.

Futurice has been helping its clients do this for over 14 years. From that work a secret recipe emerged; a way to dramatically improve the chances of building successful services. We call it Lean Service Creation (LSC). Combining best practices from Lean Startup, Agile and Design Thinking, LSC is your guide from early ideation to the last lines of code.

This crash course squeezes the essentials into an intense one-day, hands-on package that will give you a running start. With the help of experienced Futurice facilitators you will go from vague idea to tested prototype and value proposition in seven hours. As proof of their newly acquired skills, all crash course participants receive an official LSC certification.


In practice

This crash course is all about learning-by-doing. So after a brief theoretical introduction, participants are divided into teams and immediately start tackling a real problem. In systematic stages you will gather customer insights, ideate solutions, build a prototype and value proposition, and finally condense it all into a pitch (see full agenda below).

More than any of these individual skills, we want to instill a way of thinking and working. If by the end of the day you feel inspired to apply LSC in your daily work, then we’ve succeeded.

About Lina

Dr. Lina Yassin , a neuroscientist, researcher and lecturer working at Futurice as a change agent. From her previous life at the lab deciphering the basis of neuroplasticity conducting electrophysiological research in the field of learning and memory, today she is consulting clients with their digital transformation. Her journey from teaching problem-oriented learning at the Charite, made her aware of the resemblance between neuroplasticity, agility and design thinking. At Futurice, Lina is applying lean-service-creation open-source methodology and mindset to support her clients through their cultural and organizational transformation.
