We're looking for a Senior front-end developer to join Futurice and jump in on a client project located in Helsinki!

As a Senior front-end developer you would be working in one of Finland's leading delivery client project. Since you will be working independently in this project from Futurice, you need to take on a consultative leadership role, fostering a collaborative mindset, and ensuring that the project progresses smoothly.

From the day-to-day project perspective, your key responsibility is to develop and maintain a web-based application with technologies such as React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Apollo Client and Styled Components. On a daily basis, you get to demonstrate a deep understanding of web platform features and browser capabilities to ensure seamless user experiences. There is a big emphasis on code quality and user experience, which makes this quite demanding app to develop. In addition, there is a constant need to communicate with a lot of people beyond team boundaries. For example you get to collaborate closely with clients native developers on the communication interface, as the final product includes native iOS and Android wrappers.

This senior front-end developer role is full-time and permanent and your home office will be Helsinki. You also get to embrace a mostly remote working environment, with 1–2 monthly visits to the client office.

Here are key skills to succeed in this role

• Solid developer experience with React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Apollo Client and Styled Components
• Strong experience of developing and understanding web platform features and browser capabilities
• Proactive and collaborative mindset to facilitate effective communication with various stakeholders.
• Consultative skills

Familiarity with native mobile development is a plus. Additionally, you communicate effectively with stakeholders, both formally in English and informally in Finnish, so Finnish language skills are a benefit.
