Habitare is Finland's leading event for furniture, interior decoration and design. It's held at Messukeskus in Helsinki from 13 to 17 September 2017. Futurice is joining the event for the first time and debuting the LSC for Kids concept at the Habi Kids area.
Another first is our cooperation with the Finnish Association of Design Learning SuoMu at the Habi Kids Design School. The aim is to co-create an app with children, using a design process and Lean Service Creation methods.
Habi Kids is designed by children
Habi Kids Design School invites everyone to come along and play, and come up with new ideas at a learning theme park of the future. Together, children and families have the chance to test design learning methods and step into the shoes of a designer!
The Habi Kids area and the programme was designed by SuoMu and the users of the area, school classes and families with children, in service design workshops and design learning classes held in early spring of 2017. The area was outlined and conceived based on the potential users’ hopes and dreams.
SuoMu is a design learning organisation that promotes interest in and recognition of design learning and creative thinking. It’s about problem solving, just like LSC. Futurice is keen on solving the physical as digital problems of our clients.

Come test the famous Lean Service Creation methodology. We will be co-creating a vision for a design learning (MUTKU) app - with the kids and families as the designers!
