Generic Hackathon is a grassroots collaborative coding festival with a simple focus: build and improve open-source libraries, tools, and infrastructure.
Don’t worry about reaching a certain goal within the weekend or doing some prototype for a problem that doesn’t really exist, just continue building on the cool open source stuff that you’ve done before or find a new project to work on. Contributing to open source equals saving the world and the world isn’t saved if we don’t allocate time for it. Now is your chance to just focus on making other peoples lives easier and get awesome in the meanwhile.
Food and drinks will be served and the sauna is warm for the event! Towels are provided by Futurice.
We will also have an discovery session where you can present your open source project to other people or find about new interesting projects that people are working on. If you want to present at the event, please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The event is hosted at Futurice’s office in Lauttasaari, Helsinki.
